In order to unlock the enhanced features of textbooks powered by Upload Media, you will need own a smartphone that has a camera capable of reading quick response (QR) codes. If your textbook contains QR codes and you would like to make use of video learning, follow the steps below:

1. Register online at www.upload-media.com (the desktop version of the site) and subscribe to the relevant playlist.

2. Make sure you are logged into Upload Media’s mobile site on your smartphone (in the Google Chrome or Safari browser).

3. Make sure you have downloaded the free QuickMark QR reader app for your iOS or Android device.

4. With the QR reader application open, hold your phone over one of the QR codes in your textbook until it finds the link.

5. Open the link in the browser you have logged into and the video relevant to that section in the textbook will open and play on your device. (Note: You may incur data charges.)

If your smartphone runs on Windows Phone 8 (or 8.1), we recommend you download the UC Browser from the Windows Phone Store (8 / 8.1). This browser has a built-in QR scanner widget. Once again, make sure you are logged into the Upload Media mobile site in this browser before attempting to scan a QR code in your textbook.
