Supply chain networks in a nutshell
ID:CVSCN

Video Overview

A supply chain network refers to the flow and movement of materials & information by the interconnected relationship that exists between organisations with the ultimate goal of serving the end consumer. In recent years, organisations have recognised the need for and benefits of creating close links with companies in the supply chain. In the past, businesses in the supply chain operated relatively independently of one another. However, this led to very little control over other network participants and no wider perspective on the structure as a whole. What is also very important to understand is that businesses in a supply chain network which maintain close links within the network and have good supply chain management are likely to derive a competitive advantage.
