Video Overview

Organisational socialisation is defined by Feldman as 'the process by which individuals are transformed from total outsiders of companies to participating and effective members of them.' It can also be viewed as a process of adaptation, and it requires the new employee to learn to understand his or her new employer. It is a process of learning and development. When socialisation is effective, there is a uniting of individual and organisational goals. In this tutorial we will be discussing Feldman’s three-stage entry model.
