Video Overview
A monthly salary register of all of the benefits and deductions made for each employee must be completed each month by the employer. An employee, known as the payroll administrator, will normally be required to prepare this register. This register will then be used to complete the monthly EMP201 return that is required to be filled out before the 7th day of each month. This return will accompany the payment that is sent to SARS each month and it is due by the 7th day of each month in order to avoid penalties and interest.
