The relationship between decimals, fractions and percentages
ID:CVFDM
Video Overview
We often come across expressions such as “15% discount on all items” When you say “percent”, you are really saying “per 100” So 50% means 50 per 100, which can be presented in the form of a fraction, 50 over 100. When simplifying this fraction you will arrive at 1 over 2, or one half. This fraction is equivalent to the decimal amount of zero point 5. This simple example clearly illustrates the relationship between percentages, fractions, and decimals, as we will further see in this tutorial.
