Receiving goods and services
ID:CVRGS

Video Overview

Any business should have a proper goods receiving system in place. This system should ensure that the acceptance, acknowledgement and recording of goods received from suppliers are done accurately and completely. The responsibility for the receipt of goods from suppliers should be the responsibility of a designated goods receiving clerk. This will ensure that the process is completed in an efficient way. Furthermore, goods should be received in a physically secured and access controlled section, to prevent theft and to prevent new stock and old stock from getting mixed up. Businesses can allocate a specific section of their warehouse for the receipt of goods.
