Basic conditions of employment: Leave types & accumulation
ID:CVBCEL

Video Overview

The Basic Conditions of Employment Act, stipulates leave periods for annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave, and family responsibility leave. It also makes provision for unpaid leave. It deals with leave cycles, and circumstances when that leave should be paid for, and how many days an employee is entitled to. It is important to ensure employees’ rights are protected, and that they can be paid for time off when they are legitimately ill, a family member dies, or they become a parent. This tutorial is now going to look at leave types and accumulation, but keep in mind during this tutorial that it does not apply to employees who work less than 24 hours per month.
