The Monte Carlo method
ID:CVMCM
Video Overview
Where there are only a few factors involved, probability analysis and expected value calculations can be applied to determine the most likely outcome of a decision. However, there are often a large number of uncertain variables which makes this approach unsuitable. One way to overcome this problem is to use a simulation model in which the values and variables are randomly selected. This simulation model is known as the Monte Carlo method.
