How to balance a general ledger account
ID:CVBALA

Video Overview

Balancing a general ledger account simply means totalling the account so we have all the balanced figures to prepare into a list called the trial balance. As different accounts will have different postings made to them, not all of the accounts in the general ledger will be balanced in the same way. Some accounts have a single posting made, some have multiple postings made to the one side, and some accounts have multiple postings made to both sides of the account. In this tutorial we demonstrate how a ledger account should be properly balanced.
